My name is Jim English. I am married to Anita and we have 5 children and 5 grand children between us. We live in Fairfield Harbour in New Bern.
I have successfully been a Real Estate Broker for 34 years and hold both the GRI and CRS Designations (this designation is held by less than 5% of Realtors nationwide). I am a Rotarian (New Bern Breakfast Rotary) , a Shriner (Becktash Temple-NH), A Life Elk (New Bern Elks Lodge), and a member of the New Bern Chamber of Commerce, The Tryon Palace Council of Friends, The Craven Council for the Arts, the New Bern Preservation Society, and the North Carolina Aquarium Society.
I began my career in New Hampshire at Newfound Lake and Lake Winnepesaukee, and came to New Bern in 2001. I have $100 million in Closed Transactions. I have worked in all areas of Real Estate from Commercial and Property Management, to Project development, to residential and land listings and sales. Recently my wife and I acquired several properties, extensively renovated them, and successfully resold them (Flips).
I am dedicated to the Real Estate Profession, as you might expect having been a part of it for 34 years. I am committed to serving the real estate needs of my listing clients and buyer customers. I treat each of them as I would like to be treated myself. I have a team of four Professionals that insure success and the very highest level of professionalism in their dedicated area. It is this team that insures a smooth and pleasant process from listing to contract to closing. I take pride in being available for my clients and customers, and in returning calls and email inquiries promptly.
My clients and customers indicate that doing business with me is a new and refreshing experience.

Matthew Morris:
I was born and raised in Norton, a quaint little town in eastern Massachusetts, roughly 30 minutes outside of Boston. I spent the first 18 years of my life there where I attended Norton High School and excelled as an athlete in soccer and baseball.
After graduation, I was finally able to leave my 'comfort nest.' I headed for college in Rindge, New Hampshire, a small town similar to where I grew up. It felt good to get away for a change and the next four years seemed to literally fly by. In May 2004, I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and double minor in Psychology and Sociology.
You’re probably beginning to wonder how on earth I wound up in Havelock, North Carolina. While attending college, I met my future wife. Her family owned a house in North Carolina. Coupled with the cold weather and the need for a lifestyle change, we decided to move down here together. Three years later we still happily reside here.
It wasn't until shortly after my wife and I got engaged and started planning for our future together that my desire to venture into real estate began to peak. I’d always been fascinated with the idea of real estate and the desire to see people happy. Anything I could do to help them was my dream.
I got married on September 30, 2006 and a few months later began my journey towards obtaining my real estate license. I received my broker's license in February 2007, since then have been helping people obtain their dream-houses.
I am an inspired individual who truly believes in making sure my clients get exactly what they want, when they want it. I hope through my dealings that I will be able to show people how dedicated I am to this profession and to my client’s wellbeing. I give my assurance that I will be with them throughout the entire transaction, and afterwards, to make them as comfortable as possible.
It is said that buying a home is the single most important transaction a person can make in their lifetime. I feel unbelievably fortunate to be able to assist my clients.
I promise to be your agent, your friend and your support during this very exciting period in your life!
